Thistle have to settle for a point as Rovers score twice inside the last 10 minutes to grab a point.

Dabrowski makes a good stop to keep out an Adeloye header. 

Man of the Match: Aidan Fitzpatrick

McInroy lifts a shot over the bar from outside the Raith box. 

Fitzpatrick's corner is headed clear at the front post. 

Into additional time. There should be a few more minutes of that before full-time. 

Bannigan finds Fitzpatrick to his left but Fitzpatrick over hits his cross. 

Rovers level. The ball is squared to Kieran Mitchell right in front of goal  and he slams the ball past his namesake in the Thistle goal.

The free kick goes into the box where McInroy clears. 

Raith win a free kick deep inside the Thistle half. 

Dowds makes a near post run to meet Fitzpatrick's corner and his header comes off the outside of the post. 

Adeloye's effort is deflected wide of goal. 

We're in for a tense finish here as Easton finds space for a shot and finds the net past Mitchell. 

McInroy's corner is cleared. 

It takes a strong hand from Dabrowski to deny Adeloye after being set up by McInroy.  

Mitchell has to adjust his feet quickly to be able to get down and save a Hamilton shot at his right hand post. 

Dabrowski is forced to push a Milne shot away from goal. 

Good work from Alston gets the ball to Graham. He in turn finds Fitzpatrick who pushes forward down the left. His cross goes all the way to the back post where Graham can't bundle the ball home. 

Really neat tidying up from Milne as he heads a cross back to a waiting Mitchell. 

Fitzpatrick is able to evade the challenge of McGill. Graham's effort from the resultant cross slides off his foot and away from goal. 

Raith are looking for a penalty as a Mullin cross comes in from the right. Mitchell claims that cross but the referee immediately stops play for Hamilton to receive treatment. 

Crowd: 3,468. 

Graham is fouled wide on the left by Watson. There is no yellow card for Watson and Fitzpatrick could have been allowed to play on. 

And sure enough McMillan's afternoon is over as Lewis Neilson comes on to make his Thistle debut. Williams to right back. 

McMillan goes in the book for a rather tired looking challenge on Easton. 

A header from Mullin's corner drops harmlessly wide of goal. 

Fitzpatrick fizzes over a low cross that Graham is a shade too late in being able to connect with as Dabrowski gets there first. 

Raith are nearly right back in this game. Smith's effort beats Mitchell but comes off the bar. The rebound falls to Easton but he shoots widly over the bar. 

Fantastic skill from Lawless at the edge of the box nearly creates another opening for Thistle. 

Graham will have had better attempts at goal than that one. He raises a hand to acknowledge. 

Milne finds Fitzpatrick down the left. Fitzpatrick's cross is poor though and Dabrowski collects at his front post. 

Early chance for Raith but Stanton, after he created an opening for himself, sees his shot blocked by Muirhead. 

Back underway. 

It's been a thrilling first half and the end of which Thistle hold a two goal lead. 

Jack McMillan put Thistle ahead early and Aidan Fitzpatrick added a second just before half-time. 

Between those two goals there were chances galore at both ends. 

Mitchell takes charge and collects the ball in the last action of a pulsating first half. 

Deep into added time and Raith win a free kick wide on the right and have a chance to test the Thistle defence. 

Into additional time. There should be a good few minutes of that. 

Play starts with a drop ball. Lawless collects and finds McMillan. He sets up McInroy whose shot is heading away from goal only for Fitzpatrick to knock it into the net. 

McInroy with the corner this time. It's decent but cleared. McInroy picks the ball up again and this time his clearance thumps off a defender who goes to ground. Referee Scott immediately halts play to allow the player treatment. 

Mullin's free kick is blocked by Williamson in the Thistle wall. Mullin get the ball back and this time Mitchell collects with ease as an anxious moment passes. 

Easton is fouled by Bannigan at the very edge of the Thistle box and Raith have a free kick left of centre and at a threatening angle. 

Lawless looks to be fouled deep inside the Raith half but there is no free kick. Raith advance through Easton and the ball eventually is worked to Mullin whose low shot is blocked by Mitchell. 

Dabrowski is off his line quickly to push the ball away before Fitzpatrick can get to it. 

Milne pushes a pass up to Fitzpatrick. His cross though is too high for Graham. 

A long throw from Dick has Thistle under a bit of pressure before Milne is fouled at the edge of the box. 

McInroy holds off the challenge of Stanton at the edge of the box but can't hit target with his low shot. 

Raith spurn another excellent chance and it's Hamilton again that fails to take the chance. Dick's quickly taken free kick finds Smith who squares for Hamilton at the back post and his effort goes over the bar. 

Fitzpatrick does brilliantly inside the Raith box to get the ball to McMillan. McMillan's shot is just inches too high as Thistle are close to extending their lead. This is exhilarating stuff. 

Graham really looks in the mood today. He collects a long ball forward wide on the Thistle left. He finds Williamson at the edge of the box, but his shot is poor and doesn't threaten the Rovers goal. 

Rovers miss a great chance to draw level. The ball breaks to Hamilton inside the box. He has clear sight of the Thistle goal but drags a poor effort wide of target. 

Neary a second for Thistle. Graham pounces on the ball after McInroy charges down a clearance. Graham has too much pace and power for the Raith defence and advances deep into the box. McInroy is on the end of Graham's cut back but the ball slides agonisingly wide of goal. 

There are shouts for a Thistle penalty as Graham tries to get on the end of a cross. There's no penalty though but a break in play as Graham receives a spot of treatment. 

Williamson picks up the ball wide after Lawless' corner is cleared and his skill nearly creates another opening. 

Lawless is fouled by Easton and Thistle have a free kick side on the right. 

It's a quite magnificent pass from Milne that finds Fitzpatrick but much to the annoyance of the home support the flag goes up for a dubious offside. 

It's Thistle that take an early lead though. Lawless crosses to the back post. Graham nods back across goal. McInroy should scored, but his effort comes off the bar but McMillan is there to knock home from inches out. 

Thistle have been under pressure from the very start and Rovers should be a goal up with Murray scooping a shot over the bar from just outside the 6 yard box. 

After a minute's silence in memory of Benny Rooney, Raith Rovers kick the game off. Thistle shooting towards a noisy John Lambie Stand in the first half. 

The cinch Championship is back. 

After the phony war that is the group stages of the Viaplay Cup league action returns to the Wyre Stadium at Firhill and there is a palpable sense of excitement in the air. 

As always there is great interest in discovering the manager's team selection for the opening league game of the season. 

Kris Doolan's selection sees David Mitchell start in goal and marks a welcome return to action for Jack McMillan for the first time this season. 

There is also a debut for Kerr McInroy who signed on loan as recently as Thursday. 

The other Thursday signing, Lewis Neilson, starts the afternoon on the bench where there is a pleasing number of options open to the manager.
