There will not be an issue of the PTFC Matchday Programme produced for either of our home Premier Sports Cup group stage fixtures.
The programme will return for the first game of the league season, against Greenock Morton.

The Thistle Taxi
The Thistle Taxi will be at the Wyre Stadium at Firhill in the build-up to Tuesday’s game for use by any older or less able supporters, free of charge.
The distinctive red and yellow taxi will be taking supporters from the bottom of McParland Way to the Jackie Husband Stand Reception, starting at 6:15pm.
The Thistle Taxi, kindly provided by club sponsor Glasgow Taxis, can seat up to six people and will be making multiple trips ahead of kick off.
Partick Thistle marked their homecoming to The Wyre Stadium at Firhill with a 2-0 victory over Stranraer in the Premier Sports Cup.
The Jags came into this game top of Group B, after a comfortable 4-1 win over Edinburgh City, with Ross County dropping points to today’s visitors in a 1-1 draw.
It was an unchanged line-up from Friday’s trip to Meadowbank, with the only change on the bench seeing back-up keeper Luis Cameron drop out for a Trialist with new signing Ts’oanelo Lets’osa not involved as the club did not receive his International Clearance in time to feature.
Thistle started the brighter of the two sides, with their first chance coming six minutes in when Robbie Crawford’s effort was deflected out for a corner.
Logan Chalmers looked set to open the scoring when a Stevie Lawless fell to him in space, only for his 18 yard low shot to be blocked by a defender.
Ben Stanway also came close on ten minutes when his free kick from just outside the area rattled off the inside of the post.
From there, Stranraer’s stout defence proved difficult to pick open as the first half trundled on with little in the way of incident.
The Stair Park side created a chance when the clock hit 45 minutes however Sean Docherty could not force the ball home from close ranger and Thistle raced to the other end in stoppage time.
Stevie Lawless was taken down for a foul on the edge of the box and Chalmers lofted his free kick into the mixer, where skipper Lee Ashcroft managed to rise above the rest and head in at the back post with what was the last action of the half.

Buoyed by the goal just before the break, Thistle grew in confidence after the restart. They looked more purposeful in attack, getting more joy going forward.
Two minutes it looked like the Jags would double the lead after Stranraer keeper Joshua Lane’s slip as he chased a Lewis Reid pass-back saw the ball come to Chalmers. Chalmers’ audacious chip seemed like it was heading in from long range, but instead hit the crossbar to spare Stranraer blushes.
Tony Watt came on for the last half hour and was close to opening his account after an intelligent pass came to Chalmers, who then flicked the ball onto Watt for a header. Sadly, his effort sailed over as Thistle’s lead remained at a single goal.
The Jags were determined to put the game out of sight, with Watt in particular playing some good football, as Thistle piled on the pressure.
Thomas Horn almost squeezed an 18 yard shot past Lane before Watt was rewarded for his efforts on 87 minutes.
The striker grabbed his first goal in red and yellow in spectacular fashion. A corner made its way to Watt outside of the box. The striker opted to have a dig, firing it into the net from range for a superb goal.
With the game now beyond doubt, there was time for one final moment as Che Campbell came on for his home Partick Thistle debut. Campbell replaced Stevie Lawless, who had looked impressive throughout the game.

Thistle’s 2-0 win sees them retain their place at the top of the Group B table, now sitting on six points. Queen of the South’s 4-0 win over Edinburgh City tonight sees them leap into second on three points, having played a game less. QOS will be Thistle’s next opponents, with the Doonhamers making the trip to Maryhill next Tuesday evening.

The goals come late in each half but it is an fairly straightforward win for Thistle who maintain a 100% start to season 2025-26.
That should settle the game and what a way to score your first Thistle goal. The corner eventually falls to Watt and he fires an absolute belter high into the net.
Lane is forced to tip the ball over the bar after a Reading shot is deflected.
Ashcroft stabs the ball towards goal after the second Chalmers corner is cleared but the ball goes high over the bar.
Lane gets his hand to a Horn shot to turn the ball round the post for a corner.
Clever play from Watt gives MacKenzie a sight at goal albeit some distance out. His shot is well enough struck but not threatening the Stranraer goal.
O'Reilly heads on the Chalmers corner. Lawless in turn flicks a header goalwards from inside the 6 yard box but there isn't enough power in it to get the ball over the line.
A clever pass from Stanway finds Chalmers on the left. He crosses for Watt who heads over.
Fitzpatrick rolls a cross into the six yard box but there are no takers for it.
Thistle strike the frame of the Stranraer goal again. This time it is Chalmers that is unlucky as his chip after Lane slips strikes the face of the crossbar.
A goal right on the stroke of half-time from Lee Ashcroft gives Thistle a narrow, but deserved, half-time lead.
And there it is. Chalmers takes the free kick and flights it to the back post where Ashcroft heads home. His first goal for the club.
Lawless is fouled and Thistle have a free kick near the edge of the box on the right. One last chance for a goal before half-time.
It's a poor free kick from Lawless but Thistle keep things alive and O'Reilly is able to nod the ball towards goal but Lane makes an easy save.
O'Reilly is caught late and Thistle have a free kick within range of the Stranraer goal. Perhaps a shade too far out for a direct effort at goal.
You can sense that the crowd are getting a little frustrated that Thistle haven't yet made the breakthrough.
Stranraer have offered little in an attacking sense but what threat they've had has come from Turay and he sends a shot over the Thistle crossbar.
McBeth is able to get his head to Fitzpatrick's in-swinging corner but he can't get his header on target.
Some slack play from Thistle allows Turay to advance but his shot from outside the box is always on the rise and Budinauckas isn't required to make a save.
Fitzpatrick plays a pass inside to McBeth who takes a touch to find space before sending a powerful shot from outside the box just over the crossbar.
A Logan shot is blocked, the ball spinning high into the air allowing Lane to make an easy catch.
Fitzpatrick plays a pass into the feet of Chalmers who turns towards goal before dragging his shot wide of target.
Stanway takes the free kick and it rattles off the base of Lane's left hand post.
Thistle have a free kick a few yards outside the Stranraer box and in a central position.
A Lawless pass falls perfectly to Chalmers and his shot that looks to be net bound is blocked by a defender.
Fitzpatrick gets a little too much elevation to his corner aimed towards the back post and the ball goes out for a goal kick.
Crawford's shot takes a deflection and Thistle have the game's first corner.
Thistle get the game underway and will be shooting towards the John Lambie Stand in the first half.
After starting the season with a comfortable 4-1 win over Edinburgh City, Head Coach Mark Wilson has selected an unchanged starting eleven as the season at the Wyre Stadium at Firhill gets underway with a home fixture against League Two Stranraer.
The only change is on the bench where a Trialist replaces Luis Cameron.
Stranraer include former Thistle Academy player Sallu Turay in their starting eleven as they look to build on a credible draw, and bonus point, against Ross County at the weekend.
