This Sunday March 30th, PTWFC take on Aberdeen in a SWPL1 match at Petershill Park in a 13:00 kickoff.
Our first game back at Petershill in over a month allows the girls to get back into league action having had a week off to regroup.

💻️Highlights and reaction post match
Aberdeen have recovered the form that Scott Booth expects of them in recent weeks as they currently have a 3 game win streak with wins over Spartans and Dundee United in league action and St Johnstone in the Scottish cup which has secured their place in the semi-finals against Rangers. They’ll be looking to secure all 3 points here in a game that could see them close the point deficit with the Jags.
The last fixture between the clubs saw a 0-0 draw in Aberdeen in a difficult match for both sides. Aberdeen certainly squandered chances at their home ground in the midweek fixture while Thistle had a reduced squad due to work commitments. It did allow some players to get minutes to shine such as Mae English, who impressed off the wing that night.
Always an entertaining game between the sides, and one that both sides will be looking to win to help with their pursuit to secure their safety as we welcome our visitors from the north to Glasgow.

Thistle made the trip through to Montrose for a game against a side which Thistle have not beaten this season, having drawn the previous 2 fixtures. Craig Feroz always lines up to make the game difficult for Thistle and this time was no different. Deploying a 3-5-2, Montrose looked to make use of the flanks through danger players like Demi Taylor, who scored in the previous fixture, as well as using the pace of Neve Guthrie and youngster Holly Daniel.
It would be the teenager who would open the scoring for the visitors about 23 minutes in as Montrose looked to take control. Not long after, Lucy Sinclair was looked to have been fouled in the box but no penalty was awarded.
PTW just couldn’t click as chances were wasted and opportunities came and went. Thistle looked to use the wide areas themselves through Kodie Hay and Hannah Robinson, but nothing could muster up an equaliser. A quadruple change sparked a bit of life on the hour mark but it would again be Montrose who would capitalise as Erin Henderson, who had only just came off the bench a minute prior, doubled the hosts lead.
A disappointing result to take back to Glasgow for the Jags as the story of our season continues by not taking enough chances and being clinical.
Strong Followings from the Red and Yellow army helped our girls massively last season and this season alike. Our first home game since the split gives a good opportunity for PTW to get back to winning ways.

Another week off has allowed the team to regroup and recharge heading into this one. Nearly a full squad is expected for this game, with a few late fitness tests to be assessed before we take on Scott Booth’s outfit.
With that being said, it will be up to the gaffer and the rest of the management team to field the best possible side heading into this fixture with a game against Aberdeen.
