This Sunday 10th March, PTWFC take on Hearts in a Scottish Gas Women’s Scottish Cup match at Petershill Park in a 13:00 kickoff.
Having suffered a heavy defeat in our last game to Celtic, the squad is eager to put it in the past as we have a break from league action ahead of the split next week.

💻️Highlights and reaction post match
Hearts have had a good season so far as they sit 4th in the table with 42 points, 4 more than Thistle in 6th. A 10-0 routing of East Fife in the last round of the cup secured Eva Olid’s squad’s place in the quarter finals of the cup and they’ll be looking to reach Hampden with a victory this weekend.
Hearts’ squad has a lot of talented individuals including the likes of Emma Brownlie and Ciara Grant who have gained their plaudits this season. Another star for the Jambos is Katie Lockwood, a player who’s scored twice against Thistle at Petershill Park in the league this season so will look to continue her red hot form against the red and yellow.
Our previous fixture against Hearts ended in a 4-1 defeat for the Jags at Petershill Park in a game full of controversy. That is in the past however and Thistle will look to progress into the next round and another semi final with victory over the Edinburgh side.
We made the trip to Airdrie with a lot of momentum. A strong lineup came out for Thistle raring to go and cause an upset. That idea didn’t quite come to fruition as Amy Gallagher continued her impressive form and opened the scoring after 5 minutes before Murphy Agnew doubled the lead for the hoops. Gallagher grabbed another before Cara Henderson converted a penalty to give some hope for Brian Graham’s side.
However it wasn’t to be as Natasha Flint, Jenny Smith and Gallagher’s hat trick sealed a 6-1 victory for Celtic sending Thistle back to Glasgow empty handed. The squad are wanting to put this behind us however as we move along to the next fixture in the cup.
Strong Followings from the Red and Yellow army have helped our girls massively. It was great to see so many thistle fans make the journey to Airdrie to cheer on the girls last weekend and we’d love to see as many of you as possible as we return home to Petershill Park.
A few players miss this fixture due to loan agreements. This means that Aimee Anderson and Shona Cowan miss out against their parent club. A few knocks to be assessed by the physio ahead of the game against Hearts but all signs seem positive at the moment
With that being said, it will be up to the gaffer and the rest of the management team to field their best possible side heading into this fixture with a chance to go and progress to the next round and another semi final.
