The damage is done early as Thistle go down to defeat in Dingwall. 

A safe journey home for those Thistle fans that travelled north for tonight's game. 

Some shouts for handball and a Thistle penalty but in hope rather than expectation. 

Fitzpatrick rolls a ball across the County 6 yard box and that will likely be that. 

Minimum of 3 minutes additional time to be played. 

Chalmers sees his corner cleared back to him. He fizzes a shot towards goal but its wide of Carson's near post. 

Fitzpatrick bursts down the left. He crosses for Samuel who turns towards goal and shoots into the side net. 

A low drive from Chalmers doesn't cause Carson any problems. 

Again Thistle can't make anything of the set piece. 

Thistle simply haven't threatened from corners tonight. 

Samuel nudges the ball back to Reading whose first time shot is straight at Carson. 

Smyth again with an effort from outside the box. It's close but it dips just a shade too late, 

The snow us falling that bit heavier and the pitch is looking a little white but it's not the snow that will save Thistle. A goal is badly needed. 

Smyth clips a ball to the edge of the box. Samuel is able to twist his head to get the ball goalwards but its an easy catch for Carson. 

Samuel turns quickly inside the box and it's a good stop from Carson that keeps the ball out. 

Chalmers' corner finds Ashcroft. His header though drops into the arms of Carson. 

Smyth is inches wide with a shot from the edge of the box. 

Activity on the Thistle bench. Fitzpatrick and Turner look like coming on. 

Carson gets a firm hand to Stanway's corner. 

The yellow ball is out. 

Thistle clear the corner. 

A Phillips effort looks like heading for the bottom corner but Clarke gets a hand to it. 

The snow is slowly falling. 

Thistle unchanged at the break. 

For the second game in a row Thistle find themselves trailing 2-0 at half-time. 

The first goal arrives after just 18 seconds, the second just 10 minutes later. 

Thistle were arguably the better side in the latter portion of the half but only once really looked liked scoring. 

A header goes over the bar from the Chalmers corner. 

A Stanway shot is deflected wide. 

Smyth's corner is headed clear at the front post. 

Minimum of 3 minutes added time to be played. 

Phillips has a shot blocked. It spins to the left for Duncan who shoots over the bar. 

Smyth tries a shot from long range but it is an easy save for Carson. 

Thistle could do with a goal before half-time but right now that doesn't look likely. 

Thistle try a short corner routine but it doesn't work. 

The Chalmers corner is cleared. It's picked up by Reading outside the box. He goes for goal but slices his effort well wide. 

Phillips is late in on O'Reilly and collects a yellow card. The momentum of the challenge takes O'Reilly off the pitch. 

It's been better from Thistle the last few minutes. 

It's a poor corner. 

Thistle nearly back in the game. It's a great chipped pass from Smyth that finds Lets'osa inside the box. His effort is blocked by Carson. The ball spins to Samuel who sees his effort come off the crossbar. 

Horrible first quarter of the match for Thistle. County looking like adding to their early goals.

Short corner this time. Duncan tries a shot from the corner of the Thistle box that is blocked. 

Thistle have shown character and resilience aplenty this season. They are going to have to show something special tonight. 

Phillips gets away from Ashcroft and he looks set to score. He's denied by a good stop from Clarke but the ball falls to path of Henderson and he finds the back of the net. 

It's a deep corner from Duncan that finds O'Sullivan at the back post. His header finds the side netting. 

Appeals for handball and a County penalty after a cross from the right is blocked by a Thistle defender. 

We're back underway after some pyro on the pitch following the County opener. 

And open the scoring after 18 seconds. Henderson sweeps the ball home from about 12 yards out. A nightmare start for Thistle. 

The home side get the game underway. 

I'll not lie. It's not warm in Dingwall tonight. 

Despite the cold and difficult travelling conditions a good number of Thistle fans have made the trip from Glasgow and with kick-off just under 15 minutes away they are already making their presence felt as Thistle get set for their first away game of 2026. 

Mark Wilson has made one change from the side that started the year at home to Morton. In comes Oisin Smyth free from suspension with Aidan Fitzpatrick the player that drops to the bench for this one.
