This Sunday 2nd October, PTWFC take on Celtic Women at Petershill for a 12:45 kick off.
Thistle come off the back of a convincing 8-1 win over Glasgow Women last weekend heading into this Sky Sports Cup tie in what is sure to be an interesting Glasgow derby.
Thistle are looking to progress in this tournament having reached the quarter finals last season before ultimately being knocked out by Glasgow City.
A win for Brian Graham’s side would provide a timely boost to the squad as they face a strong Celtic squad, who are looking to retain their cup.

🗣️Highlights and reaction post match
Cetlic have had a very strong start to their campaign thus far winning all 6 of their league fixtures, scoring 32 goals and have yet to concede.
Having played Thistle earlier in the season, our opponents won 2-0 in what was a tightly contested affair. This game, lost to an own goal and a penalty kick, has so far been Celtic’s lowest separated score all season, something manager Brian Graham will surely look to provide a boost to his squad.
Having won the tournament last season at Firhill, Celtic will look to retain that trophy and build on that going forward. Fran Alonso’s side are likely to pose an attacking threat, as previously mentioned, scoring an impressive 32 goals.
While there are no former jags lining up for the hoops, we have a few former, and current, Celts within our ranks.
Abbie Ferguson and Charlotte Terry are both on loan from Celtic this season therefore are ineligible to face their parent club in this tie. The likes of Rachel Donaldson, and Cheryl McCulloch, two of our goal scorers this weekend, have also previously lined up in green and white.
Fresh off our first win of the campaign, Thistle are looking to build momentum going forward.A convincing 8-1 win away from home sees Brian Graham’s team come back home as they look to gain their first win at Petershill this season.
Spectacular showings from all over the pitch at the weekend, including a brilliant first half hat trick from Jordan McClintock who will be looking to add more to her tally moving forward.
Strong home followings from the Red and Yellow Army so far this season have boostedour girls and hopefully more of the Thistle faithful come along to support their Jags against the current cup holders this coming Sunday.
As previously mentioned, Abbie Ferguson and Charlotte Terry are unfortunately ineligible for this tie as they are on loan from Celtic. Other than this, Brian Graham has a full squad at his disposal, with lots of competition and places up for grabs, as he looks to make progress and advance in the Sky Sports Cup.
