This Wednesday 22nd February, PTWFC take on Glasgow Women at Petershill Park for a 20:00 kick off.
Thistle come off the back of an extra time defeat against Hearts in a tough loss in the Scottish cup. Brian Graham’s women suffered defeat to the Jam tarts despite a battling performance in what was a game which could have went either way.
A result here for Brian Graham’s side would be huge as we return to league action following a weekend off.

🗣️Highlights and reaction post match
Glasgow Women have had a tough season thus far, failing to pick up a point thus far in the SWPL1 from a possible 54.
Sitting in 12th position, 6 places and 22 points behind the jags, they’ll be looking to make a good showing of themselves having last time out won their match against Ayr in the Scottish Cup.
There are a few club links between the squads this season, with Cara Henderson picking up Glasgow Women’ Coaches’ and Players’ Player of the year awards last season, as well as Leah Robinson, who was also part of the Glasgow Women squad who were promoted to SWPL1 last season. As well as this, Emma Craig and Mhari Lyle play for Glasgow Women and will be returning to the Jags when we welcome them to Petershill Park.
The previous match between the clubs ended in a 8-1 victory for the Jags in what was a clinical performance from Thistle.
After a difficult last few weeks, Thistle bounced back with a 1-0 victory over Hamilton last time out in the league before taking an impressive Hearts side to extra time in the Scottish Cup. Thistle performed valiently throughout the 90 and earned their way into extra time. Assistant manager Stewart Hall spoke about this after the match and praised his squad facing multiple challenges on the day, such as having had Lauren Grant recalled temporally having faced a goalkeeping shortage and manager Brian Graham missing the first half due to his involvement within the first team at Ibrox Stadium.
After a good week and a half of training since that match the squad is raring to go for this one. With the victory against 11th place Hamilton still fresh in their mind, the squad are looking to bring the fight to the team in 12th place and take another big step towards their aims for the season
Strong followings from the Red and Yellow Army so far this season have truly helped our girls, and hopefully more of the Thistle faithful come along to support their Jags at Petershill Park once more under the floodlights.
It looks to be a full squad for our management team as we approach this midweek fixture. Megan Cunningham returns to the squad following her ineligibility against Hearts, while Lauren Grant returns to Queens Park where she currently is plying her trade on loan. There are places up for grabs as we approach this crucial final part of the season and hope to secure our top 6 place.
