This Wednesday 8th February, PTWFC take on Hamilton Accies at Petershill Park for a 20:00 kick off.

Thistle come off the back of a disapointing defeat against Glasgow City in a tough loss in the SWPL1. Brian Graham’s women suffered a difficult defeat to the current league leaders struggling to bounce back making it three losses on the bounce.

A result here for Brian Graham’s side would be huge as we look to turn around this poor run of form and get back to winning ways in this tightly packed schedule.

🆚 Our Opponents: Hamilton

Hamilton Accies have had a difficult season thus far, picking up 13 points from a possible 51 in SWPL1.

Sitting in 11th position, 4 places and 6 points behind the jags, they’ll be looking to grab all 3 points and escape the relegation zone.

In terms of club connections, Amy Bulloch turned out for the Lanarkshire outfit and will be looking to get one over on her former club. The last outing between the two sides saw the Jags walk away with all 3 points in a 5-1 affair.

📈Thistle so far

A difficult last few weeks have seen Thistle suffer heavy defeats three times on the trot. Whilst we have undoubtably struggled against the top teams in the country lately, it is important to put the past behind us and bounce back straight away.

Despite our defeat, Rachel Donaldson added another to her tally doing what she does best and scoring a brilliant goal taking her to 6 so far this season, overtaking Cara Henderson as our top scorer.

The squad has continued to support each other fully despite this poor form and will continue to do so going forward. They know that the performances have been less than ideal and are desperate to change this on Wednesday against Hamilton.

Strong followings from the Red and Yellow Army so far this season have been incredible for our girls, and a big support under the floodlights at Petershill on Wednesday evening would help drive the team on to a vital three points.

🗞 Team News

A similar squad to that from Sunday should be available for our management team on Wednesday evening. A touch of rotation may be on Brian Graham’s mind again as we continue in this tight schedule. Every single one of our girls are raring to start this game and are attempting to prove to manager Brian Graham that they have what it takes to get all 3 points and change our form back to winning ways.
