This Sunday 30th October, PTWFC take on Hibernian Women at Meadowbank Stadium for a 16:00 kick off.
Thistle come off the back of a 1-0 win against Dundee United in the SWPL1 last weekend at Petershill in an action-packed game. Brian Graham’s women came away with all 3 points in a thrilling encounter thanks to a Cara Henderson goal and now travel away to Hibernian for our next SWPL1 match.
With back-to-back wins in the league, a win for Brian Graham’s side would certainly provide another confidence boost and move the team above our Edinburgh opponents as we look to gather even more momentum within the SWPL.

Hibernian have had a decent start to their season thus far, picking up 10 points from a possible 24. They come into this game having beat Kilmarnock 8-0 in the quarter-finals of the cup at the weekend.
Gaining victories over Hamilton, Aberdeen and Dundee United, like ourselves, Hibs currently lie in 5th place in the SWPL1, 2 places and 2 points above the Jags.
Thistle managed two victories over Hibs last season, one in the league and one in a very memorable cup tie, and we will be hoping to do this once more as a victory will move Thistle above Hibs, with a game in hand.
Following a good win against Dundee United at the start of the month, there are a lot of good signs for Brian Graham’s team as they move forward. That makes it one defeat in the last five for the Jags, which can only be admired as we climb the SWPL1 table.
A lot of deserved praise has come for Cara Henderson, fresh off her goal of the season contender strike against Dundee United, and we hope she can repeat that for the upcoming games.
Some incredible followings from the Red and Yellow Army so far this season have helped our girls gather this momentum, and hopefully more of the Thistle faithful come along to the capital to help their Jags once more.
An almost full selection is available for Brian Graham this week, with only Taylor McGlashan unavailable due to an ongoing ankle injury. THe Manager will look to make full use of all his other options as he looks to create the winning formula against Hibernian. Hopefully another strong showing from the girls and they can take all 3 points back to Glasgow this weekend.
