🆚 Our Opponents: Hibernian

Hibs have started their season well sitting in 4th position with 14 points so far. Currently on a 4 match win streak, including two high scoring victories over Aberdeen and an Edinburgh derby victory over Hearts, head coach Grant Scott will be hoping his side continue this impressive from as they welcome the Jags through to the capital.

Former Thistle loanee Abbie Ferguson lines up top for the Hibees having enjoyed a very successful season with the Jags last year.

📈Thistle so far

A victory over Spartans in the Sky Sports Cup last weekend saw PTW get back to winning ways having suffered back to back losses in league action leading to the match. Having had 3 fixtures in a week, the international break allowed the squad to have a much needed rest.

Thistle played their typical style against Spartans and allowed their mixture of youth and experience to play some exciting football. Top performances all around from the likes of Clare Docherty, who was playing in an unfamiliar left back position, as well as the partnership of Kodie Hay and Emma Lawton down the right hand side stood out. Two headed efforts from Cara Henderson and Linzi Taylor, rewarded with a spot in the team of the week for her display, were enough for the Jags to secure victory and set up a tie against Montrose in the quarter final of the tournament.

Strong followings from the Red and Yellow army have helped our girls massively this season. We hope to see as many of you as possible this Sunday as we make our trip to the capital.

🗞 Team News

A full squad appears to be available for the Jags this weekend with only Cheryl McCulloch out as she continues to recover from her ACL injury.

Some good training sessions and performances on Sunday all over the pitch from the squad will make manager Brian Graham’s decision difficult as he looks to select the strongest squad available to take on this Hibs side.
