🆚 Our Opponents: Motherwell

Motherwell have performed well in their opening five fixtures this season, picking up 9 out of a possible 15 points thus far, like ourselves.

Having picked up momentum with two wins in their last two games, Paul Brownlie will hope his side can continue this as they make the trip from Lanarkshire to face the Jags.

Plenty of club connections between the sides, most notably in the form of Emma Lawton and Kodie Hay who signed from the Steelmen in the summer while former Jag Kaitlyn Cannavan lines up for our opponents these days.

📈Thistle so far

Despite defeat, Thistle performed valiantly against a very strong Rangers side.

Having several key players out, including Jenna Ferguson and Megan Cunningham through ineligibility as well as Rachel Donaldson remaining out with injury, Brian Graham’s girls went toe to toe with the Gers and were unlucky not to grab a draw.

Brian Graham spoke about how disappointing it was to not come away with anything but was proud of their efforts. Having suffered heavy defeats at Broadwood stadium last season to performing as the better side for much of the game last week shows how far the side has progressed.

Strong Followings from the Red and Yellow army have helped our girls massively this season. We hope to see as many of you as possible this Sunday as we return home to Petershill Park.

🗞 Team News

Megan Cunningham and Jenna Ferguson are once again available for selection having been ineligible against Rangers last week.

Linzi Taylor made her first start against Rangers and looks to continue to return to fitness while Clare Docherty made her return to the bench having suffered a few knocks this season.

Rachel Donaldson continues her recovery and could play a part on Sunday however long term absentee Cheryl McCulloch will remain out.

It will be up to manager Brian Graham and the rest of the management team to decide the strongest eleven for this game.
