Spartans come into this fixture with some confidence having won their last 4 on the bounce, not dropping a point since the split. They sit in 8th, a point behind the jags and 8 clear of Montrose in the final relegation spot.
Spartans posses a great attacking threat with Hannah Jordan the standout this season as she’s fired in 13 in the league while former Thistle loanee Aimee Anderson has contributed with a number of assists in recent times. Erin Rennie and Mya Bates also have earned their plaudits and the Jags will need to be wary.
Thistle have won 2 and drawn one against Spartans in all competitions this season. Caley Gibb and Tiree Burchill’s goal of the month winner gave us a 2-1 win at the start of the season while a 3-2 cup win with goals from Carla Boyce, Cara Henderson and Lucy Sinclair secured our place in the next round.

Thistle made the midweek trip to Ochilview to play Queen’s Park in a Glasgow derby. Having won away the previous Sunday against Dundee United, the Jags were confident.
An early injury forced Carla Boyce off in the first half but it would be super sub Imogen Longcake who would make an impact as she linked up with former QP captain Ellie Kane before Tiree Buchill scored in back to back games to give Thistle the 1-0 lead.
A steady game followed as chances were seen for both outfits, with Jeni Currie being forced into some good saves while Demi Falconer defended well on her 150th appearance in Red and Yellow. Burchill’s goal would be all that was needed as Thistle took all 3 points back to Glasgow and another much needed victory.
Strong Followings from the Red and Yellow army help our girls massively. We return home to Petershill Park for the first time in a few weeks and we’d love to see as many Jags as we can.

A similar squad to Wednesday is anticipated for this fixture. Some late fitness tests will be needed after another battle on Wednesday night and a touch of rotation could be seen due to the busy schedule.
With that being said, it will be up to the management team to field the best possible side heading into this fixture with a game at home against Spartans.
