The club turned Haggs Castle into Jags Castle golf course on Wednesday as a fantastic 2022 Partick Thistle Golf Day, sponsored by Cane and Grain International, took place.
With plenty of the current first team squad and management in attendance, members of the Partick Thistle Former Players’ Association, such as 1971 League Cup winners Alex Rae, John Hansen and Denis McQuade, joined popular ex-jags like Danny Lennon, David Irons, David Rowson and Ian McDonald to take on 18 holes of goal at the fantastic Haggs Castle golf course.
With competitions for longest drive, and closest to the pin, the teams of 4 made their way around the lush greens and the competition got fierce as the afternoon wore on.
After the round of golf was complete, there was a delicious carvery buffet lunch before entertainment from Eric Davidson had the entire lounge in tears of laughter.
A hotly contest prize giving saw Lee Hodson emerge as the best from the current Thistle squad with John Hansen recording the best score from current and former players. In the end, the Glasgow Taxis team, supported by Jags skipper Ross Docherty ran out winners on an enjoyable day overall.
