Adapt Commercial Property PTWFC December Player of the Month

A pre-Christmas postponement against Aberdeen meant there were only three games played during the month of December for PTWFC and all three of them were at home in an eight-day span.

Brian Graham’s Jags were able to earn two points from those games scoring five goals along the way as they closed out an historic year for the club.

Carla Boyce

Thistle’s joint-top scorer for the 2024/25 season, Carla Boyce scored a couple of important goals for the Jags in December. The striker netted a timely equaliser after the side had fallen behind against Spartans before going on to score a brace against Montrose four days later.

 

 

 

Shona Cowan

Having played limited minutes during October and November, Shona Cowan stepped up to the plate in a major way in December as she started and finished all three games. Featuring at right-back, at centre-back and in midfield, her versatility and work rate proved to be a real asset for Thistle.

 

 

 

Demi Falconer

Another player who started and finished each game last month was Demi Falconer, the ever-present rock in the heart of the Jags’ rearguard. Her calming presence at the back has only been enhanced since she’s been reunited with defensive partner Cheryl McCulloch over the past couple of months.

 

 

 

Cara Henderson

Thistle’s other joint-top scorer this season, Cara Henderson added two to her seasonal tally during December. First, she fired home from the spot to level up the Jags’ Scottish Cup tie against Glasgow City before then bundling home Thistle’s second in the 3-3 draw with Montrose the following midweek.
