Adapt Commercial Property PTWFC March Player of the Month

March was always going to be a big month for Brian Graham’s Thistle side as they contested their first ever major cup final at Tynecastle Park against Rangers, ultimately ending up on the losing side on a day to be proud of for the club.

That historic game was one of five this past month spread across three different competitions as the Jags continued to test themselves against the best teams that Scotland has to offer.

Now, as the squad use the international break to recuperate ahead of the run-in, it’s time to make your selection for the Adapt Commercial Property March Player of the Month:

Ava Easdon

Thistle’s outstanding young goalkeeper played twice in March as she gained more invaluable experience during her loan spell with the Jags. Aged just 17, Easdon started in Thistle’s cup final against Rangers making a couple of impressive saves late on as the team came under pressure from the SWPL leaders.

Demi Falconer

On March 24th 2024, Demi Falconer became the first Thistle captain in nearly 53 years to lead a Jags side out in a major cup final. Important as ever during March to everything her team does, the value of Falconer’s leadership can’t be understated and was sorely missed in the final game of the month, a home defeat to Hearts.

Jenna Ferguson

Unavailable for the cup final against her parent club, Jenna Ferguson got her minutes during March in the league. She came off the bench against Celtic in Airdrie before then being given a starting berth in back-to-back SWPL fixtures against Hibernian and then Hearts. Ferguson has been building up her catalogue of minutes for the Jags while also regularly featuring for Scotland at under 19s level.

Emma Lawton

One of Thistle’s best signings of the summer of 2023, Emma Lawton has firmly cemented herself as one of the team’s most influential players in attack and defence. In a Thistle backline which has chopped and changed over the past month, she’s started every game and beyond that it was her run into the Celtic box which drew a foul and led to Cara Henderson’s converted penalty at the Excelsior Stadium.
