With over 40% of the total fan vote, Aidan Fitzpatrick has been chosen as the Seven Wealth Player of the Month for April!
The Partick Thistle Youth Academy graduate picks up the final award of the season having scored one and set one up in three appearances this month, reaching 20 goal contributions for the campaign in doing so.
He got his assist against Dunfermline Athletic when he latched on to Josh Clarke’s ball in behind before laying it on a plate for Alex Samuel in the goalmouth and would then find the back of the net himself the following week at Airdrieonians when he fired past Harry Stone at the near post from Tony Watt’s pass to put his team 2-1 up.
Seven Wealth’s Chris Cassidy was joined by Fergus MacLennan of Adapt Commercial Property to present the trophy to Aidan and on the award, Fitzpatrick said:
“I’ve been feeling good about my football over the last few months so it’s nice to know that the fans have seen that too. As a winger, you’re always going to be judged on the amount of goals and assists you can get so I’m pleased that I’ve been chipping in with both recently.
“The most important thing is how the team is doing and we’re 13 games unbeaten in the league now which isn’t easily done. In that run we’ve had to deal with plenty of injuries and suspensions but I’m glad that I’ve been able to play a lot of minutes and contribute to a positive run of form.
“We’ve got a big few weeks coming up, starting on Friday night against Queen’s Park. We want to win that game and then take all the momentum we’ve been building into those play-offs.”
