The Thistle faithful have picked Alex Samuel as the Seven Wealth Player of the Month for January with the Welshman claiming around 58% of the total vote!
Used primarily as an impact substitute earlier in the season, Alex has earned a place in the starting line-up more recently with two goals to his name in six January fixtures including a winner in a tight league contest against Ayr United at home.
On top of that, Samuel won three penalties for his team last month with the most important undoubtedly being that which was converted by Oisin Smyth to claim a point in injury time against St. Johnstone last Friday night.
Upon receiving his award from Chris Cassidy of Seven Wealth, Alex said:

“January brought challenges, but as a team we fought together and turned the month around! With lots of standout performances, each teammate would have been a worthy winner.
