Since early June, the Partick Thistle Heritage Committee’s Anniversary Exhibition has been open to the public on weekdays at the Maryhill Burgh Halls displaying all manner of historic Thistle memorabilia.
Now, to mark the start of the new competitive season, the exhibition will be open this Saturday from 10am until 2pm ahead of our Premier Sports Cup group stage game against Brechin City at Firhill with admission completely free to all.
Among the highlights of the exhibition are the Yoker Cup from 1883, one of the earliest trophies associated with the club, a match ball from 1909, the Summer Cup won in 1945, the Dental Cup from 1928 and the Tennents Sixes Trophy lifted in 1993. Also on display is an impressive collection of medals celebrating some of Partick Thistle’s greatest achievements, including Glasgow Cup triumphs, Charity Cup successes and league championship victories.
Together, these remarkable artefacts tell the story of Partick Thistle’s rich and proud history, tracing the club’s journey from its formation in 1876 to the present day. They celebrate the players, supporters and memorable moments that have shaped the Jags over the past 150 years.
