Partick Thistle Women’s FC are excited to announce the signing, on loan from Glasgow City until January, of 17-year-old goalkeeper Ava Easdon.
Capped by Scotland at under 15 and under 17 levels, the latter as recently as March of this year, Ava joined the Thistle squad during the course of pre-season where she impressed sufficiently both in training and matches to prompt Thistle manager Brian Graham to add the talented custodian to his squad for the start of the league campaign,
Said Brian; “Ava has really impressed during pre-season so it’s great to have her on board for next season. I felt it was important to make sure we had the goalkeeper position covered.
I feel Ava is good enough to really push Megan for the starting position.
“She has really fitted into the group over pre-season and is really mature for someone so young, I’m sure she will learn a lot from training with someone like Megan too,”
Ava Eadson said: “I’m really happy to be a Thistle player for next season. Training with the team has been brilliant over pre-season and they’ve all made me feel really welcome.
“I know I will have to work hard for a place in the team but that is why I am here, to work hard and improve as a goalkeeper and I think this is the perfect place to do that”
