In 2014, the SPFL Trust launched a twelve week health and fitness course aimed at gentlemen aged over thirty five with a waistline that was bigger than it should be. It was called Football Fans In Training ( FFIT).
After the course we thought it would be a good idea to play 7’s every week, so we did. After a few weeks we found out that fans from other clubs had done the course and were playing 11 a side games so we started playing them too.
We’ve played against Rangers, Celtic, Aberdeen, Dunfermline, Raith and Livingston to name but a few. Even played against Swindon Town in a tournament. We have also made new Jags pals along the way.
We still play 7’s every Tuesday in Springburn and 11’s once a month either home or away.
So if any fans over 35 fancy a game, feel free to get in touch through the club.
