Partick Thistle Women’s FC is delighted to announce that midfielder Beth McKay has been selected to represent Scotland at the forthcoming International Futsal Alliance World Championship in Spain next month.
The Jags number 7 is no stranger to international futsal competition having previously represented Northern Ireland on a number of occasions. With the IFA tournament falling outwith FIFA jurisdiction it has allowed McKay to also be selected to play in the dark blue of Scotland.
The competition takes place between the 10th and 16th of September and represents a once in a lifetime opportunity for Scottish futsal players to test themselves against opposition from across the globe.
As it is an independent tournament, participation from each player is entirely self-funded. With costs including flights, accommodation, insurance, kit and the event itself there is a lot to cover.
