Board Update – 5th January 2023

The new Partick Thistle FC Board of directors are continuing to review the finances of the club to balance the demands of maintaining a push for promotion alongside the need to ensure the club remains financially stable.

To achieve this, we are investigating new revenue streams, sponsorship opportunities, and external funding. The continued support of fans in buying tickets including half season tickets, joining the Centenary Fund, supporting hospitality and events, and passing sponsorship ideas to the club is a critical part of ensuring we end the season in a strong position both on and off the field.

We are actively looking at alternative options to develop the old south terracing.

A topline summary of new board actions since appointment last month is as follows:

  • A comprehensive review of club operations, identifying where resources are required
  • Consideration of current Board structure, identifying the additional skillsets required in Board members between now and season end
  • Identifying new revenue streams and how to operate most efficiently

And the focus of our immediate plans moving forward include:

  • Working to ensure the management and playing squad are capable of a sustained push for promotion this season
  • Assist where appropriate to implement fan ownership working group recommendations asap
  • Increasing engagement within all aspects of the club, to ensure the desired representational and operational structures are in place for season 2023/24 onwards
  • Agreeing a club development plan to be implemented for season 2023/24 onwards

The new Board of Partick Thistle FC would like to thank the full fanbase for their outstanding support over the past month and reiterate that such levels of backing of the club, on and off the pitch, will be every bit as important, valuable and appreciated in the weeks and months ahead.
