Everyone at Partick Thistle FC was truly saddened to learn of the passing of Jags supporter Bobby Sutherland.
Born at Barloch Street, Possilpark in February 1935, Bobby was a lifelong Thistle fan, and in turn had an effect on two of his sons and his nephew to also become lifelong fans – he is pictured celebrating the 2012/13 Championship title with his son Richard.
Describing Bobby, nephew Barrett said: “He has definitely left a mark on the world, a warm generous person of huge character who will be missed.”
Bobby passed away in late November after reaching the grand old age of 88, and was the older brother of Alisdair, Miriam, Sylvia and Peter.
He leaves behind his remaining younger sister Miriam, his sons, Robert, Gordon, Raymond, Richard, and daughter Shirley, as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren who all loved him.
Everyone at Partick Thistle passes on their deepest condolences to the family, close friends and loved ones of Bobby.
Rest in peace Bobby Sutherland – once a Jag, always a Jag.
