Brian Graham and Mark Wilson chosen as The Glen’s Championship Manager of the Month for March.

Partick Thistle’s interim management team of club captain Brian Graham and under-18 coach Mark Wilson have been rewarded for an excellent first full month in charge of The Jags by being selected as The Glen’s Championship Manager of the Month for March.

The Wyre Stadium at Firhill side defeated Queen’s Park, Ayr United and Greenock Morton last month and also secured another crucial point in their push for a promotion play-off place in a goalless draw with Raith Rovers.

Brian, who is also the club’s top goalscorer this season, said: “It is always nice to get an award,  and it is nice that the two of us are being recognised but it is has been a real team effort from a lot of people behind the scenes and I want to thank them for their help.”

“Our focus since we came in has been to try and secure a top four place and that remains the case now. We earned a big win down at Morton last weekend and will look to build on that this weekend although we know it will be tough against an Airdrieonians side that scored five on Wednesday night.”

With confirmation that the duo will be in charge until the end of the season now in place Brian added: “There is a clarity now that helps both Mark and I as well as the players get on with things.”

The Awards were handed over with Sports Scientist Ben Tooley, Physiotherapist Robin Dicke, Goalkeeping Coach Kenny Arthur, Coach Craig Dargo and Kit-man Paul McDonald in attendance with Mark adding: “It has been a busy month but it has been a good month. The players have responded well to what we have asked them to do, and everyone has mucked in to help us get the results that we have.”
