Partick Thistle are pleased to announce that Brian Graham has signed a contract extension which takes his contract with the club to the end of the 2025/26 season, subject to Scottish FA approval.
Thistle’s number nine has found the back of the net 12 times so far this season and, following a prolific 2023 with just one game remaining, Brian has now put pen to paper on an extended contract which includes a player-coach role in future seasons.
Since joining the club in January 2020, the popular frontman has scored more than 60 goals for the club in less than 150 appearances and has climbed the club’s all-time goalscoring chart, closing in on the top 25 list of competitive scorers in Thistle’s 147-year history.
The men’s team captain is the latest player to extend his commitment to the club until the summer of 2026, leading the squad from the front.
Thistle manager Kris Doolan said:
“Quality players are always in demand and we know there was once again strong interest in Brian so it was a no-brainer to agree the contract which will see Brian remain a pivotal part of the club until 2026. Towards the end of a calendar year which has seen him score 22 goals so far, he’s a player who remains key to the way that we play.
“Brian’s at the heart of everything the club is trying to do, from captaining the men’s side on a Saturday afternoon to doing a terrific job managing the Partick Thistle women’s team on a Sunday, having them on course for a second successive top six finish and it is great to have that work continue for a few more years.
“While we’ve been working hard to try to protect the assets we already have at the club, work and planning is well under way for the January transfer window as we strive to add more quality to join Brian, and the squad, for the second half of the season.”
