Partick Thistle Women’s FC is excited to announce that Cara Henderson has commited to the club until at least the end of season 2023/24
The midfielder was one of the new faces in the team over the summer joining us from Glasgow Women where she played a key role in their promotion to SWPL1.
Cara’s impact was instant as she scored the team’s first competitive goal of the season away at Hearts, opening her Thistle account on her debut.
That set a standard which Henderson has maintained with some very important goals and assists – for example winning a penalty to earn the team a point at Aberdeen or firing in the winning goal in a home win over Dundee United.
PTWFC manager Brian Graham said: “Cara has had a great start to her Thistle career and really excelled in taking the step up from SWPL2 to SWPL1 in the summer.
“We’re delighted she has commited already to the club for next season. She is still a young player who we feel can improve even further so i’m excited to see just how good she can get with more work with the coaching staff here at Thistle”
Cara Henderson said:”I’ve loved my time here so far so it was a no brainer when Brian sat me down and spoke about next season.
“I feel this is the perfect place for me to continue to improve as a player. The coaches are fantastic and we have a great squad which I love being part of.
“We’ve had a great start to the season as a team and I’m looking forward to see what we can achive together”
