Supporters attending tomorrow’s cinch Championship fixture against Ayr United will be able to join with some very special guests in our latest celebrations of Thistle’s 1921 and 1971 cup-winning heroes.
Before the game, at around 2pm, the family of David McParland will gather at the foot of the South Drive. They will be accompanied by Partick Thistle chairman Jacqui Low who will officially unveil the full tribute to our legendary former player, manager and mastermind of our 1971 Scottish League Cup win.
Then, at half-time, Jags fans will be able to welcome relatives of four of our 1921 Scottish Cup winning legends. Each family will receive commemorative 1921 Scottish Cup winning medals from Jacqui, on behalf of Partick Thistle Football Club, in tribute to the role each of the players played in our 1921 Scottish Cup success.
Everyone at Partick Thistle Football Club would like to thank all the family members for supporting these celebrations and wish them a very happy visit to Firhill tomorrow.
*Supporters who have bought tickets for our Lunch With The Legends at Hampden on Sunday, 24 October should note they will receive information about the event within the next seven days.
