Partick Thistle FC can today confirm that Che Campbell has joined East Kilbride on a season-long loan deal, subject to Scottish FA clearance.
Campbell has just completed his first pre-season in full-time football having signed his modern apprenticeship with the club at the start of July alongside Luis Cameron and Thomas Horn.
The 17-year-old had already made his first team debut prior to that, however, when he came on as a substitute against Dundee United in the final league match of the 2023/24 campaign.
Che will be available for EK tonight as they take on Gretna 2008 in a Lowland League fixture.
Thistle manager Kris Doolan said:
“This is a fantastic opportunity for Che at such an early stage of his career. To go and get the chance to play in the Lowland League as a 17-year-old, especially for a team near the top of the table like East Kilbride.
“Of course, game time isn’t guaranteed – he’ll have to earn it but I think he has to ability to make an impact. We’re excited to see how he gets on.”
