Partick Thistle WFC are pleased to confirm that Cheryl McCulloch will be continuing her stay with the Jags for the duration of the 2024/25 season.
An experienced and accomplished figure within the Scottish game, Cheryl originally joined the club in May 2021 as she went on to play eight games and score four goals during the SWPL2 run-in.
McCulloch’s influence on the team only grew as the Jags moved up to the top flight with Cheryl making 48 appearances across our first two season’s in the SWPL.
Unfortunately, an ACL injury sustained last May meant she didn’t play any games during the 2023/24 campaign but Cheryl has been committed to her rehabilitation as she focuses on making her comeback to the Thistle squad.
Cheryl said: “It’s been a long year out injured but there is light at the end of the tunnel and I can’t wait to be back out there again with my team-mates next season. I’ve been working hard since the injury so I can play for this club again
“It’s been hard to watch from the sidelines but I loved being on the bench for the cup final and feeling part of things again.
“I can’t wait to be back out there in Red and Yellow again”
Commented Brian Graham: ““I’m really looking forward to Cheryl getting back on the pitch. She’s a massive figure at this football club who we had to do without last season. It’ll be like a brand new signing.
She’s a leader in the dressing room and has worked incredibly hard on her rehab from her ACL injury and isn’t far away from returning to the pitch”
