Partick Thistle Football Club are delighted to announce that Chris Ross has been appointed as the club’s new Chief Executive Officer.
As CEO, Chris will assume responsibility for the day-to-day running and management of the club, working closely with the PTFC Board of Directors.
Partick Thistle chairman Alistair Creevy said: “We’re delighted to announce Chris Ross as the new CEO of Partick Thistle FC. Everyone on the Board is looking forward to supporting Chris and working closely with him as our new fan ownership era begins for the club.
“The experience Chris has in this area, as chief executive of a fan-owned football club, will be of huge benefit to Partick Thistle as we further strengthen that bond between fans, team and club. I’m sure all supporters will offer Chris a very warm welcome in the weeks ahead as he begins his tenure here at the Wyre Stadium at Firhill.”
The former Morton and Stevenage chief brings a wealth of experience to the Wyre Stadium at Firhill having led professional football clubs in both the Scottish Professional Football League and most recently the English Football League. Chris oversaw Stevenage’s record attendance in the EFL and managed day-to-day club operations for much of Boro’s promotion season under first team manager Steve Evans before having to return to Scotland for family reasons.
Commenting on his new role, Chris Ross said: “I want to thank the Board for providing me with the opportunity to lead, support and develop the football club as well as staff day-to-day. To be able to join Thistle at such a promising time, with the progress that was made last season, is something that excites me. I’ll work tirelessly to support and achieve the board’s visions of creating an exciting and sustainable Partick Thistle.”
Chris will start in his new role with the club on Wednesday 26 July.
