Partick Thistle Women’s FC is delighted to announce the signing of Claire Adams as we continue our preparations for the 2022/23 season.
The midfielder joins us from Motherwell for whom she played against the Jags last season in SWPL1.
Adams is a former Scotland youth internationalist who has also previously played with both Rangers and Celtic at first team level.
Claire has been in training with the squad during pre-season and featured in our friendly against East Fife at the weekend as a trialist, setting up our eighth goal.
PTWFC manager Brian Graham said:
“It’s been great to have Claire in training with us these past couple of weeks and she’s impressed us during that time.
She’s someone with plenty of experience playing with Rangers, Celtic and Motherwell so she’s no stranger to this level.
“The middle of the park is obviously a hugely important area of the pitch so we want to have plenty of depth there. We’ve now got a handful of really good players who can play there and it’s up to them to earn their place in the team.”
Claire Adams said:
“I’m really pleased to be here at Partick Thistle. Since I’ve been in training with the squad everyone has been so welcoming and it’s an environment that I wanted to continue to be part of.
I didn’t play as much football as I would have liked last season so I’m keen to come here and earn the chance to play.
“It was great to get 45 minutes in the friendly last week and I just want to keep working hard and hopefully contribute a lot to the team.”
