Partick Thistle WFC are thrilled to announce that Claire Adams has agreed to remain a Partick Thistle player for the 2023-2024 season.
Claire, a former Scotland youth international, joined Thistle from Motherwell last summer after spending part of pre-season training with the squad.
Initially deployed mostly from the substitute bench, Claire took her chance when handed a starting role in the heart of the Thistle midfield very quickly demonstrating the attributes required to make a telling contribution. It was only injury that prevented Claire from making more than the 24 appearances she did last season.
Claire scored once last season, a hugely important goal in a comeback 4-3 win over Aberdeen that took Thistle to the cusp of a top six league finish.
Brian Graham Said: “I’m looking forward to having Claire back for next season.
She is so calm and composed on the ball and nothing phases her. Her range of passing is superb and she really adds to that midfield area for us.
“She had to wait for her chance last season but she just put her head down and continued to work hard and then took her opportunity when it came. She was really unlucky to pick up an injury just as she established herself in the team so it’s great to get her back fit and ready for pre-season. She’s got a fantastic attitude and is great to work with”
Claire Adams Said:
“I’m looking forward to being back next season. I loved it last season so It’s great to be coming back to try and build on what we all achieved.
“It was a frustrating time with injury at points last season but I’m looking forward to coming back fresh next season and I’m raring to go.
