Partick Thistle FC is delighted to confirm a permanent singing section at the Wyre Stadium at Firhill next season, after 93% of supporters voted in favour of it in a fan consultation held in partnership with the PTFC Trust and The Jags Foundation.
Asked “Do you support the introduction of a permanent singing section in the John Lambie Stand?” 93% of 587 respondents voted Yes, 4.9% said they were not bothered either way while 2.1% voted against.
Based on this, the Partick Thistle FC Board today unanimously approved the introduction of a permanent singing section in the John Lambie Stand next season, taking effect from our opening Premier Sports Cup group fixture against Montrose on July 13.
The immediate next step for the club is to work with Fanbase to include the Singing Section as a visible option when season tickets go on sale this Friday. The club will issue How To guides when season tickets go on sale and this will include guidance on how to purchase a John Lambie Stand Singing Section season ticket.
Ahead of Friday, the club will also directly contact all 2023/24 John Lambie Stand season ticket holders to make them aware of this and explain the different options available for John Lambie Stand season tickets for next season.
The fan consultation exercise also gave supporters the chance to give the club feedback on what they are looking for from their Wyre Stadium at Firhill matchday experience. The feedback we received was hugely valuable and insightful, all of which the club will review over the course of the coming weeks and then communicate a summary of and any outcomes from them.
