Co-operation agreement entered into with Linlithgow Rose

We can confirm that we have entered into a co-operation agreement with Scottish Lowland League leaders Linlithgow Rose which will see Partick Thistle players Nick Lockhart and Matthew Falconer turn out for the Prestonfield side.

Our agreement with Linlithgow Rose looks to build on the Scottish Football Association’s research into developing young players that are qualified to represent Scotland, and it runs alongside the traditional Temporary Transfer loan option.

Co-operation agreements are open for players aged below 21 with up to three players able to move to (and move back from) a partner club during a Transfer Window.

Nick and Matthew are expected to join Linlithgow’s squad for their Scottish Cup tie against Gala Fairydean Rovers on Saturday with Sporting Director Ian Baraclough saying: “We are delighted to have come to an agreement with Linlithgow after several weeks of research, visits, conversations and gaining positive feedback about the club.”

“We believe that this is a forward-thinking positive and progressive move for our young players and an opportunity for them to gain much valued game time at a good level.”

“Nick and Matthew are delighted to be involved at the start of what we hope will be a strong and lengthy partnership with Linlithgow Rose.”
