Tomorrow afternoon’s Community Champion, with our partners at McDonalds Maryhill, is a lady who has selflessly given up her time to help her local community over the years.
Catherine Adamiec was nominated by McDonald’s Maryhill before her sterling work within the community and beyond. Cath has worked at McDonald’s for 22 years working her way through the ranks to become part of the management team at the store. As a mother of three, she has plenty to keep her busy at home but, despite this, she still manages to find time to give back to her community.
Cath has recently been involved in a community project helping the local Gaelic school with litter events, tidying & planting in their Eco garden and general maintenance within the school.
The Ronald McDonald House Charities is the charity associated with McDonalds and Cath has also maintained a keen interest to get involved with raising funds to support the cause. She has been involved with Ronald McDonald House for a number of years, offering personal voluntary time to help out. Cath does everything from organising quarterly tombolas and raffles with the restaurant to setting up charity quiz nights. The annual 5k Santa Dash is also a yearly highlight for the store.
Tomorrow afternoon Cath will be recognised, alongside our partners at McDonalds Maryhill, as a real Community Champion.
