We are pleased to confirm that we will be looking for more Community Champions throughout the coming two league seasons.
Supported for a seventh successive year by McDonald’s Maryhill, the Club is seeking to reward an individual’s generosity and compassion with a unique matchday experience. Nominated from people within the community, we are looking for Community Champions, whose community spirit will be publicly recognised by Thistle.
The partnership with McDonald’s Maryhill has been extended until the summer of 2024 with gable end sponsorship included alongside the Community Champion award.
Regardless of whether it is work with local community organisations or public service workers, emergency services or armed forces(part and present), carers or charitable heroes, our monthly Community Champion will be selected to come along and have a day at Firhill that they will never forget.
Our McDonald’s Maryhill Community Champion for August, was chosen by our partners at McDonald’s Maryhill was Shantelle Conaghan. The teenager got involved in a volunteering project during the pandemic by delivering hot means to vulnerable people in the local area. The G20 Youth Festival, founded by people who live in the community is a community-led youth club that started the food project.
Now, we’re looking for support from the Thistle fanbase for our McDonald’s Maryhill Community Champion for September, with the award being presented at our upcoming home game against Cove Rangers.
If you know of someone in the Maryhill area who is deserving of being named a Partick Thistle Community Champion, then you can nominate them now by downloading this form and, once complete, emailing it to the club at or dropping it into the executive offices at Firhill Stadium
If chosen, Community Champions will be contacted. They must be prepared to allow their information to appear on the Club’s website and on social media/media relations.
