Dan leads his team into the Final week of Movember

Half an hour after the final whistle sounded on last Saturday’s 2-1 success over St Johnstone Partick Thistle defender Dan O’Reilly skipped into the Alan Rough Lounge in the Jackie Husband Stand to address the 200 Hospitality Guests at the game.

O’Reilly was not there however to take the plaudits for his involvement in the opening goal or indeed to be showered with praise for a crucial second half goal line clearance or to pick up a Man of the Match Award.

The Irishman was there in his capacity as the captain of the club’s Movember Team to ask for support in the raising of funds to support better physical and mental health for men.

O’Reilly along with Movember team-mate Alex Samuel were proudly showing off the moustaches they are growing to support the campaign and were delighted to announce that their efforts, alongside goalkeeping coach Kenny Arthur, Lewis Budinauckas, Scott Martin and Ts’oanelo Lets’osa had just broken the £2,000 fund-raising barrier.

Ten minutes later the £2,500 line had been breached as our Hospitality guests dipped into their pockets to boost the fund further with Dan saying: “My thanks go to everyone that was in Hospitality for listening to why Movember is important to us and for their donations. There was nearly £550 contributed as a result and when that cash is banked it will take the total raised to over our second target of £2,500.”
