Partick Thistle FC is excited to announce the signing of Kieran Ngwenya on a season-long loan deal from Aberdeen, subject to Scottish FA clearance.
The Glasgow-born defender makes the temporary switch to Maryhill off the back of a season on loan with Raith Rovers during which he made 30 appearances for the Kirkcaldy side.
Ngwenya has also spent time on loan with Cove Rangers and Kelty Hearts winning the League Two title with the latter and accumulating 68 first team appearances overall.
On top of that experience at club level, the 20-year-old has represented Malawi at international level having made his debut for them in 2021 against Tanzania.
Kieran will wear squad number 12 during his time at the Wyre Stadium at Firhill.

Thistle manager Kris Doolan said:
“We’ve had Kieran on our radar for a while now and it’s a deal we’ve had to have patience with but it’s great to see that pay off. The aim in this transfer window was to make sure we’re signing a high calibre of player who will provide genuine competition and Kieran will come in and do that.
“He’s only 20 but has already played a good number of senior games and knows the league very well from his time at Raith Rovers last year so he’ll not come here as a timid kid – he’s a bona fide first team player at this level and will be pushing to get into that starting XI as soon as possible.”
