Partick Thistle FC and The Jags Foundation are proud to reveal TJF’s newest fully paying member – Kris Doolan.
The Partick Thistle men’s first team manager has joined the near-1400 and ever-growing army of Thistle supporters to sign up to The Jags Foundation with full membership and monthly donations.
Kris was joined by TJF board members Stuart Callison and Heather Holloway on a busy Monday at Firhill to celebrate the news and encourage other supporters to make the same commitment.
Earlier this month The Jags Foundation made a £50,000 one-off donation to the club and committed to further contributions of at least £10,000 per month for the next year.
Kris said: “Joining The Jags Foundation is an absolute no-brainer for me. I’ve long been impressed by their membership growth, events programme and general galvanising of the Thistle support.
“The recent sizable donation by TJF to the club – and the commitment to more funding for the next 12 months – really did give me and everyone at the club a huge boost when it was needed, so it is a pleasure for me to give a little back in return by way of signing up.
“Everything positive which is happening at the club just now, from soaring season ticket sales and sponsorship deals, such as that announced yesterday with Wyre, to major contributions by TJF, helps me do the business I want to – like extending the contract of Aidan Fitzpatrick earlier today.
“I believe we are building something special together at Firhill, I know how much the club means to the fans and I hope the fans know how much they mean to me, which is why I’m proud to join The Jags Foundation.”
Sandy Fyfe, Chair of The Jags Foundation, said: “Kris Doolan is an example of all that is good about our football club and has already featured on a pin badge which was much in demand. Our hearts beat proud that he is the manager of our football club and now even more so that he is a fellow member of TJF.
“Through the good grace of a member, we have managed to free up membership number 9 for Kris, which seems very fitting. We thank Kris for his support, and TJF look forward to supporting him in every way we can in the months and years to come.”
