Our final Business Club event of 2022 held on Wednesday was a December delight, with a packed attendance enjoying an hour of fascinating insight by one of the UK’s leading sports broadcasters, Eilidh Barbour.
The Q&A got off to the perfect start with former PTWFC full-back Eilidh declaring her love of Thistle’s red and yellow colours, before taking us on a journey through her career, covering everything from witnessing Tiger Woods winning The Masters in Augusta to the honour of presenting when the Scottish men’s national team played their first major tournament match in 23 years.
Eilidh wasn’t the only former Jag in the room, nor was Gerry Britton, with Lee Mair and Jamie Mitchell among a captivated crowd of Thistle sponsors and supporters who took full opportunity to ask a variety of questions to round things off before networking over lunch.
As a huge thank you for her time and such a fantastic and open conversation, Thistle CEO Gerry Britton presented Eilidh with her own – red and yellow of course! – Thistle top complete with Barbour and 2 printed on the back.
