We are delighted that the excellent form displayed throughout the current season by Emma Lawton has been recognised by her inclusion in the PFA Scotland’s SWPL Team of the Year.
Emma has been a key component in our top six finish and run to the Final of the Sky Sports Cup.
Rejoining Thistle, who she had been with as teenager before heading south to join the Manchester City Development squad, from Motherwell last summer Emma has featured in virtually every game this season, and the consistently high standard of her performances earned her a place in the Scotland Under 23 squad.
There is a real sense of pride to see one of our players, with a long-time association with the Club, develop into a top class defender, and this acknowledgment of that from her SWPL peers is richly deserved. Our heartiest congratulations are extended to Emma.
