The building of the squad for season 2024-2025 continues apace.
Following on from the news that Club Captain Demi Falconer has pledged her future to Thistle, Partick Thistle WFC are thrilled to confirm that defender Emma Lawton has now done the same.
Emma, who was just recently included in PFA Scotland’s SWPL Team of the Year, and is the Adapt Commercial Property Player of the Moth for March, has been in outstanding form since rejoining the club she played with as teenager last summer.
A virtual ever-present in manager Brian Graham’s starting eleven in another hugely successful season for Partick Thistle WFC, Emma’s form was recognised by inclusion in the Scotland Under 23 squad.
Securing her services for the season ahead is another important piece of business as the Club continues to strive to improve on and off the pitch.
Emma said:
“I had no hesitations in signing on again for next season. Partick Thistle holds a special place in my heart.
“I was here as a youngster before coming back last summer and the club have really given me an amazing platform to go and play my football and grow as a player and a person.
“I’m excited to try and build on what we have achieved this season both personally and as a team”
Manager Brian Graham commented: “I’m thrilled to get Emma tied up again for next season. She’s been fantastic this season as was shown by her inclusion in the PFA Scotland Team of the Year.
“There were no shortage of clubs who were looking at Emma for next season so the fact she has trusted us again with her development and feels this is the best place for her to continue to learn and improve is testament to what we are building and doing at this football club.”
