Partick Thistle are delighted to advise that their End of Season Awards Night on Saturday, April 12 is to be hosted by former Jags club captain Des McKeown.
The evening of fine dining, entertainment and music was already shaping up as a grand one at Glasgow’s Doubletree by Hilton Hotel on Cambridge Street, and the addition of Des makes things all the more special.
Des played for The Jags for two seasons from 1998 in-between spells with Queen of the South and he also donned the colours of Celtic as a Youth Team player and senior sides Airdrieonians, Albion Rovers and Stenhousemuir where he also had a spell as co-manager.
As well as maintaining an interest in football since retiring from playing and managing through agency and media roles, Des has helped build the stationery supply company POS Group.
With multiple awards being made to both the Men’s and Women’s Teams of Partick Thistle you can be sure of hearing some wise cracking from Des.
