Earlier this month we held our first ever eSports tournament at Firhill as we looked to find our representatives for next month’s eScottish Football Cup, taking place at Hampden Park.
Gordon Coyne and Kieran Findlay ran out the winners in each of our tournaments and along with reserve Kayden Anderson will be representing Thistle in the inaugural gaming tournament in May.
Earlier this week, Gordon and Kieran came to Firhill to be presented with their special PTFC eSports top, and accompanying hoodie, from club captain Ross Docherty and Harry Milne. Each player received a bespoke eSports top courtesy of our partners at Greaves Sports and O’Neills to proudly wear for next month’s tournament.
It was a family affair for Kieran as he is the nephew of current Jags number 11, Steven Lawless who passed on his expert tips to both players ahead of them showcasing their skills against the best that Scottish football has to offer.
An enjoyable afternoon was rounded off with a meet and greet with current Partick Thistle manager Kris Doolan, who passed on the best wishes of all at the club ahead of the tournament next month.
The eScottish Football Cup takes place at Hampden Park on Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st May.
