For the past 3 years the Partick Thistle Charitable Trust have been inviting the elderly who would otherwise spend Christmas day alone to our humble The Energy Check Stadium at Firhill for food, some entertainment, a small gift and most importantly company!
Building on their previous successes, in partnership with our friends at the SPFL Trust, they decided it was time to notch it up a gear for 2019!
This year the Charitable Trust have set themselves 4 BIG targets…
All too often we take advantage of being able to pick up the phone for a chat with our friends or like a comment made on social media.
While we are connected to our screens, do we ever consider the lack of connection so many people in our community have to…well… anyone?
So this year we are asking you to do something truly meaningful…
Donating just £35 will pay for someone’s Christmas this year and the opportunity for them to build relationships that will last forever.
Why not be a part of this special day? The Charitable Trust are always looking for people to help!
Whether you can pour a drink, carry a plate or have a secret talent to keep our guests entertained, WE NEED YOU!
Volunteering is simple… email and make sure you are free even for a few hours between 12pm – 5pm on Christmas Day.
Then be sure to hold onto that selfless good feeling for the rest of the year!
We have to say a huge thank you to all the support we have received thus far. You Jags fans are truly amazing, but we’ve still got a fair bit to go.
With your help over 100 people will have a wonderful day to remember!
After all no-one should ever feel alone. Especially on Christmas.
