Financial Goals Need a Game Plan: Seven Wealth Announced as New Sponsor of Partick Thistle’s Player of the Month Award

Partick Thistle Football Club is delighted to welcome Seven Wealth as the official sponsor of the Player of the Month award for the 2025/26 season.

The partnership kicks off with the announcement of the August nominees following a strong start to the campaign. Mark Wilson’s side recorded three wins and ten goals across five matches, climbing the league table and securing a Premier Sports Cup quarter-final place.

The new sponsorship brings together two high-performance organisations focused on planning, preparation, and long-term success.

“Financial goals need a game plan,” said Chris Cassidy, Managing Director at Seven Wealth and brother of former Jag Paul Cassidy. “Much like what we see on the pitch, achieving financial success comes down to discipline, smart decisions, and having the right support. We’re proud to back the Jags and celebrate the club’s top performers each month.”

Based in Glasgow, Seven Wealth is a chartered wealth management firm serving clients across the country, from families and business owners to professional athletes. The firm offers tailored services including investment management, retirement planning, and estate strategy.

August 2025 Seven Wealth Player of the Month Nominees

Logan Chalmers

Chalmers’ red-hot start to the 2025/26 season showed no signs of slowing down during August with five goal involvements in five games for the winger. The first of the five was a calmly taken penalty to earn a point against Morton before he produced two assists the following week when Ayr visited Maryhill. He was back on the scoresheet against Ross County at Dingwall before finishing the month with the winner against Raith Rovers at The Wyre Stadium at Firhill. All-in-all he created 14 chances for his teammates in August, the most of any Thistle player.

Aidan Fitzpatrick

Aidan Fitzpatrick’s personal performances were on a positive trajectory throughout the month with the pinnacle of his month coming against Raith Rovers. Setting up Tony Watt’s opener and scoring the second himself, Aidan put the team in a strong position early in the game, however, the visitors got back on level terms before half-time and Fitzy was needed once again. He latched onto Dylan Easton’s errant header with 15 minutes to play and drove a perfect ball across the six-yard box for Logan Chalmers to slam home, securing three important points.

Ts’oanelo Lets’osa

During the month of August, Ts’oanelo Lets’osa faced adversity for the first time as a Thistle player as he dropped out the team following defeat to St. Johnstone but the 21-year-old’s response tells all about his attitude. Utilised off the bench against Morton, his half-time introduction reinvigorated the team and his wilful running earned the Jags a penalty. He was then reinstated into the starting XI and performed exceptionally as Mark Wilson’s side recorded three wins on the spin, leading to a well-deserved Scottish Under 21s call-up last week.

Ben Stanway

Undoubtedly the standout moment of Ben Stanway’s month came at Dingwall when his ferocious right-footed effort from 25 yards broke the deadlock en route to a 3-1 win over Ross County. Just before the half-hour mark, Stanway fought for and won a loose ball before rifling a shot across goal into the far corner gazumping his own effort on the same ground earlier this season. Apart from that, Ben has settled into a deeper role in the Thistle midfield over the last month with the team winning three games out of three when he starts in that position.

Tony Watt

Thistle’s number 32 made significant contributions to each of the Jags’ three victories during the month of August. Firstly, a deft touch on a goal-bound Logan Chalmers shot made sure it nestled in the bottom corner of the Ayr goal to make it 2-0 just before half-time in the Premier Sports Cup then seven days later he teed Chalmers up for a goal at Dingwall, again to put Thistle two goals to the good. Finally, his sliding finish opened the scoring in the thrill-a-minute clash with Raith Rovers at The Wyre Stadium at Firhill – his first league strike since joining the club.
