All at Partick Thistle FC were deeply saddened to hear of the untimely passing of Jags fan Gordon Cameron earlier this month at the age of 84.
Gordon was a lifelong Thistle supporter who held a season ticket for well more than 50 years of his life. A home and away fan, he was a member of the North West supporters bus for 20+ years before travelling home and away with his son Stuart and his grandson in the car.
Gordon was also one of the lucky ones who was in attendance at the Scottish League Cup Final at Hampden in 1971 when Thistle famously defeated Celtic 4-1 to lift the cup.
Gordon’s attendance at Firhill was limited over recent years due to ill health and COVID. However he attended whenever he was well enough and would be a well-known face to many Jags fans particularly those who have travelled with the North West bus including Morag McHaffie and Gordon Peden.
All at Partick Thistle FC extend our love, thoughts and condolences to the family and close friends of Gordon.
Rest in peace, Gordon Cameron – once a Jag, always a Jag.
