Partick Thistle are pleased to advise that Grant Stupart has been appointed to the Board of Directors of the club subject to Scottish FA approval.
Grant, who has experience in senior roles within privately owned international logistics businesses, as well as running several businesses of his own, is expected to serve a term of office until at least the next Annual General meeting of the club.
Already well-known in the “Thistle Business Community”, as a long-time member of The ’71 club, Grant will assist with Business Development, Commercial & Sponsor Liaison and takes his position with the unilateral support of current board members and trustees.
Grant said: “I am taking on this directorship as I believe that I can add value at various levels of the club. Part of this role will be on a ‘hands on’ basis and I am looking forward to working with our partners.”
“I first came to our Firhill home in the sixties with my dad William. There is a seat in the ground that bears his name to this day, and he would be proud of me becoming a director of the club he loved.”
Club chairman Richard Beastall said: “I am delighted to welcome Grant onto the Thistle board. His wealth of experience and successful business career will add real commercial strength to the club board, as we look to build towards our goal of becoming an established Premiership club.”
General Manager Levi Gill added: “As part of strengthening the leadership of the club, I am delighted to welcome Grant to the Board. Grant’s extensive commercial experience will be a huge asset, and his knowledge and insight have already been of great benefit during my first months here.”
“His appointment reinforces our commitment to building a club that is strong on and off the pitch, and I have no doubt he will play a significant role in driving Thistle forward.”
