Harry Milne signs one-year contract extension

Partick Thistle FC is delighted to announce that Harry Milne has signed a one-year contract extension, taking his deal with the club up to summer 2025, subject to Scottish FA approval.

This comes after an incredibly successful debut season in red and yellow for the full-back during which he scored five goals and registered five assists before a hamstring injury cut his season short in March.

Making 37 appearances all-in-all last term, Harry quickly became a fans’ favourite thanks to his tireless work at both ends of the pitch and he received external recognition for his efforts, being named in the PFA Scotland Championship Team of the Year alongside teammate Brian Graham.

His return from injury came at Balmoor Stadium against Peterhead where he opened the scoring with a header after just two minutes before going on to convert a penalty as Thistle won the bonus point against the Blue Toon.

Milne followed that up with the winning goal in Thistle’s next game, against Dundee United at Tannadice as the Jags came from behind to beat the top seeds in Group B.

Thistle manager Kris Doolan said:

“It’s great news that Harry has decided to commit to the club for a further year. He was up there with the very best defenders in the league last season so it goes without saying that you want to keep players like him here.

“It was a real shame that his season was ended prematurely earlier this year but he’s worked very hard to get back fit and it’s been great to see him back on the pitch over the past few weeks and even better to see him grab a couple of goals!

“The game time he’s had in the first three cup games will do him the world of good as he gets his sharpness back and I think everyone’s really excited to have him back in the team on a weekly basis.”
