Players and officials of Partick Thistle were appalled at the incident that occurred after the final whistle in last night’s game with Queen of the South at The Wyre Stadium at Firhill.
We thank the group of home and away fans that came to the assistance of the young visiting supporter in the aftermath and also thank our first team medical staff who applied treatment in the club’s physio department.
Queen of the South have provided an update this morning and we are pleased to hear that the young person involved is doing well and echo their wishes for a speedy recovery.
The matter is now in the hands of Police Scotland.
